1. The process to establish a public ship register commenced in 1881. 2. They were known by names such as Bergen Ship Register . 3. All three craft are in the National Historic Ships register . 4. On 30 June 1998 it was transferred to the Norwegian Ship Register . 5. The responsibility was centralized and taken over by the Norwegian Ship Registers in 1992. 6. This move was intended to capitalise on the introduction of the Malta Ship Register . 7. In 1973 the Parliament of Malta enacted the Merchant Shipping Act that introduced the Malta Ship Register . 8. This resulted in about fifty district courts being given the task of maintaining local ship registers covering their jurisdiction. 9. The " Lucy Lavers " is entered in the National Historic Ships register and has the Certificate No 2206. 10. These vessels are registered in the Norwegian International Ship Register , the Norwegian Ship Register, on the Bahamas and on Malta.
